Following the government announcements on Monday 14th about delays in easing Covid-19 restrictions, coupled with some other unforeseen circumstances, our planned Petrol Headz Summer Spectacle at Plymouth Speedway has had to change.
The Barbican team has worked incredibly hard on the Petrol Headz production, partnering with some amazing artists, athletes and experts from Plymouth and the south west, and we want to ensure this hard work and the amazing performances can still be brought to Plymouth throughout the summer months.
Therefore we have decided to take Petrol Headz on tour! Instead of a huge 4 day spectacle at Plymouth Speedway, we’ll now break the production into smaller pieces and will take it out to unique locations around the city.
We are disappointed to not be holding our Bank Holiday Spectacle at Plymouth Speedway, but feel this is the right, safe decision to make. We are excited to bring the amazing work we’re creating with more than 100 people from the modified car, parkour, street dance, DJ and skateboard scenes out to Plymouth.

We’ll have dance jams, timed sprints, half pipe tricks, inter street sport battles and more as these amazing athletes and artists showcase their talents and mix it up to offer the audience something totally unique and entertaining.
