Your July 2019 Line Up (please note the change of support act which was announced on 11 July)

Headline Act: Keith Carter as Stacey Silcox

With a drawl to his delivery and a dryness to rival the aridity of any desert, this self styled man of the people never fails to draw an audience into his world. One moment it’s satire that bites to the bone, the next an unashamed burst of pure ridiculousness. Stacy’s guaranteed to leave everyone in hysterics.

“A character comedian of rare skill” –The Guardian

“Surely this man will have his own show in a few years time” –Chortle

“Give this man a sitcom” –Edinburgh Evening News

“Delightfully surreal and deliciously dark” – Daily Post

Support Act 1: Stephanie Laing (replacing Njambi McGrath)

Due to issues beyond our and her control we regret to inform that the npreviously announced support act, Njambi McGrath, won’t be able to join us on Saturday 13 July at the Athenaeum. Plymouth Comedy Club apologises for this change to the scheduled line up, will do everything they can to have Njambi join them as soon as possible.

Stepping into the breach is no less a comedy stand out than STEPHANIE LAING. Blessed with a unique voice and an off the wall brilliance that’s taken her all over the world, Stephanie will blow your socks off. Then she’ll help you put them back on. Then she’ll blow them back off again.

Rest assured she’ll slot brilliantly into the night alongside Stacey Silcox, Sean Percival and your returning host Chris Brooker.

Support Act 2: Sean Percival

Sean appears regularly at all the top comedy clubs in the UK. He has ‘headlined’ the Glee Clubs, the Comedy Stores, the Komedias, the Stands, the Last Laugh, Funhouse and the JTTComedy Lofts.

He has performed in comedy tents at the Glastonbury, Reading, Download and Bearded Theory festivals amongst others.

“No holds barred, No punches pulled, No subjects ducked, A masterclass in comedy” Birmingham Evening Mail

“He’s not wacky, He’s not surreal, He’s just bloody funny” What’s On

MC: Chris Brooker

One of comedy’s heavy hitters, Chris Brooker’s infectious energy and enthusiasm sweeps through a room like an irresistible force. Chris’ combination of hilarious, original material and inspired improvisation means that you will never see the same routine twice. Immensely likeable, there’s no doubting his ability to win over any crowd and drag them along for the ride.

Chris has forged himself a fine reputation as a stand-up comedian, in particular as one of the country’s best up and coming comperes
