Kate Hall is a singer-songwriter from Plymouth.
Kate began learning the piano at the age of seven and soon began combining her love of writing with music, realising songwriting as a tool to manage and channel her experiences and the emotions deriving from them.
Now in her 20s, this passion-come-therapy has evolved into a captivating set of original material. Her songs cover a range of subjects including love, fear, heartbreak, hope, lust and shame – often all appearing in the space of one song.
Raised on a plethora of musical genres, Kate’s melodies are uniquely soulful. Her raw and often powerful lyrics delivered in a smooth bluesy vocal have led her to be likened to artists such as Amy Winehouse, Adele, Norah Jones and KT Tunstall.
