Coxside Cafe Acoustica

Halloween Special!

All ages

Moved to Barbican Theatre due to weather forecast

Okay so we’ve had to admit defeat and move our Coxside Cafe Acoustica Halloween Special to our theatre. The weather forecast of heavy rain and strong winds makes it unsafe for performers, audiences & our team to be in the very exposed amphotheatre at Teats Hill. It’s quite exciting really as it will be the first performance on our stage since Scratchworks Theatre Company Hags on 14 March!

Seating will be very limited (max 27) with social distacing in place, so we might no be able to offer you a seat straight away (luckily we have the lovely B-Bar serving food and drink if you don’t mind waiting until a seat becomes available so not everyone will stay for the entire 90 minutes) It will still be a free event and open to all ages. Face masks must be worn from as soon as you enter the Barbican Theatre building (unless you’re exempt) Hand sanitiser is available as you enter the bar area and the auditorium.

For those who’ve not been to Barbican Theatre before the address is Castle Street, Plymouth PL1 2NJ (if you’re coming across Sutton Harbour footbridge carry on past Mayflower steps, crosss the road and we’re up the stone stairs between Mayflower Museum & Visitor Centre and the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners.

We will be streaming the performance on Zoom (from 6pm) so if you’d like to watch that way please email the following details to rebels@barbicantheatre.co.uk by 4pm Fri 30 October and we will send the zoom link to you.

  • Full name
  • Email address of who the zoom link should be sent to
  • Postcode

We look forward to seeing some of you there – in person or via zoom

Tickets

Tickets are currently only available for collection from 1 hour before performances begin. Barbican Theatre recommends e-tickets which can be presented at the theatre on the date of your performance using a smart mobile device (or if you prefer can be printed out) E-tickets are more covid safe and are also much greener due to not being needed to be printed or posted.
