Cat Rose is an emerging singer songwriter, folk musician based in Plymouth, UK. Cat creates well crafted storytelling songs that connect with people from all walks of life. Cat has an intimate, pure voice that has been compared to Laura Marling’s. Cat emerged as a lock down artist back in 2020, where she was nominated for the final three of Plymouth Laureate of Words, alongside Jon Nash and Laura Horton. Cat was a student of the Rebels Music programme at the Barbican Theatre and was mentored by local legend Alex Hart. Cat was recently runner-up in the South West heat of the UK Unsigned singer-songwriter competition. Cat is also one part of singer-songwriter folk duo Jon Fazal. Cat recently was one of 34 musicians across the UK to be awarded Youth Music’s Next Gen Fund. Cat’s up and coming debut solo EP Waste Land will be released April 2024.
