Burr Island

Gathering praise from music giants Robert Plant, Paul Weller & Pete Townshend, Burr Island are quickly cementing their position as a rising force in the industry.

After recording at Kundalini Studios in Devon with Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene, The Specials), their first four singles garnered National Radio support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing & Radio X.

The duo, comprised of best friends Tom England & Oskar Porter Brentford, take their inspiration from the works of Lennon/McCartney, Paul Simon, Crosby Stills & Nash, Nick Drake, The Beach Boys and Cat Stevens as well as modern artists - Fleet Foxes, Big Thief and Flyte.

Recent live shows include UK Tours supporting Ocean Colour Scene and Tunde (Voice of Lighthouse Family), playing at some iconic venues like Hammersmith Eventim Apollo. They also played to a sold out audience at Union Chapel, supporting Paul Weller as well as two sell out London headline shows.

“A special weave of voice and harmony”. - Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)

“Shades of Simon & Garfunkel”. - Mark Radcliffe (BBC Radio 2)

“Sounding so beautiful but scathing, lyrically. What a combination.” - John Kennedy (Radio X)
