Are you a theatre producer based in the South West with a passion for new plays?
From August 2019 – April 2020 Papatango will run a free course covering: developing new projects; pitching to venues and partners; company structures and branding; finances and fundraising; recruiting and managing teams; marketing and audience development; and the production process. This course is aimed at producers who plan to make new writing in the region.
The course culminates with three grants of £3000 each to help three producers/companies make their next new writing project in the region.
How to apply
The course dates and locations are below. If you can guarantee to be able to attend all of them, and would like join to join the course, please apply by 5pm on Thursday 25 July.
Email participate@papatango.co.uk with a CV and a 500 word cover letter explaining why you wish to join the course, what your vision as a producer is, and what contribution to new writing in the South West you hope to make. We will be in touch with all applicants within a week of the deadline.
Please note, travel bursaries are available for some participants to access the course. If you need financial assistance to join the sessions, please include a short paragraph with your application detailing the support you would need.
