Barbican Theatre and The B-Bar are throwing their doors open this August in preparation for RESPECT’S 21st birthday party parade on 14 September.
You’re invited to join us for a summer of coming together to get creative with dance, art, live music and more… it’s like a mini RESPECT festival before the main one! Here’s what’s on over the 4 days…
Wednesday 28 August
10am – 12:30pm Make Art (Drop In*) at Barbican Theatre
Get party ready by making giant bunting and your own glamourous acessories (for use in the REPSECT parade on 14 September)
10am – 12:30pm Move (Drop In*) at Barbican Theatre
Learn the RESPECT Prarade flash mob routine
2pm – 4pm Open Circle (Workshop) at Barbican Theatre
Dance workshop for lovers and lovers of folk and traditional dancers
2pm – 4pm Make Art (Workshop*) at Barbican Theatre
RESPECT Festival 21st birthday costumes & head dresses that will be worn during the RESPECT parade on 14 September
8pm – 10pm (Tasters) at The B-Bar
International Cafe Acoustica
Join us in the B-Bar for an international and local music open mic
Thursday 29 August

Saturday 31 August
2pm – 4pm Family Art Fun (*Workshop) at Barbican Theatre
Bring the whole family for head-dress & bunting making – these will then be worn / used in the RESPECT parade and festival on 14 September
4pm – 8pm Family Party* at Barbican Theatre
Live dance & music. Bring a special family dish and share a recipe, while you learn the RESPECT Parade and Flash Mob routines

Plus don’t forget to join us on Saturday 14 September from 9:30am outside The Plymouth Guidhall for the start of the RESPECT parade. Wear your best, brightest party outfits.
