Join us for a unique experience as part of our exploration of The River Plym with English Heritage for an archaeology tour of the Upper Plym.
The River Plym Project wants to find out how communities are engaging with the river. Looking at what the River Plym means to people and whether the River Plym and its wildlife have a legal right to be protected from harm. The walking tour will look at the archaeology of the Upper Plym, focussing on environmental change over the last five thousand years and we would love to hear your views about the river and its past, present and future.
The walk out to the Upper Plym will be about 1h15m with stops to look at archaeological features, then about 45m back to the car park.
The workshop will be held after the walk, and will be an opportunity to discuss thoughts and memories of the Plym and to find out more about its health and wildlife, as well as an opportunity to contribute to a community tapestry to reflect relationships with the River.
Please ensure that you are wearing suitable clothing and footwear (walking boots advised), as there is some rough terrain. Please bring your own food, water and sun cream. Dogs are permitted if they are under control/on a lead.
