Biography:

Rebeca Ortega is an exceptional flamenco dancer and choreographer from Madrid, celebrated for her technical brilliance, creative innovation, and emotional depth in performance. A finalist at the prestigious Madrid Madroño Young Creators Dance Contest 2022 and nominated for Best Female Dancer at the Seville Stages Awards 2024, Rebeca has gained widespread recognition for her unique artistic voice in the flamenco world.

Her formal training includes studying Classical Spanish Dance at the Seville Professional Conservatory of Dance and further honing her craft at the renowned Amor de Dios flamenco academy. These formative experiences have shaped her as a versatile artist capable of seamlessly blending traditional flamenco with contemporary influences.

Rebeca's productions, including Silence Rebellion and RAÍCES, have been met with international acclaim, earning support from the Spanish embassies and touring across the globe. She has graced prestigious venues such as the Canal Theatres in Madrid or London’s Watford Palace Theatre and was featured at the prestigious 2022 Suma Flamenca Young Festival.

As an ambassador for flamenco, Rebeca has performed and taught in Europe: Spain, Denmark, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium or Norway, and in diverse countries such as China, India, Ethiopia, or Azerbaijan, and a long list of countries, sharing the art form’s rich cultural legacy worldwide.

She continually pushes artistic boundaries, collaborating with renowned artists across genres—highlighted by a fusion performance with PATAX blending Michael Jackson’s iconic moves with flamenco, and KALASETU, a London-based production merging flamenco with classical Indian music and dance.
