Would you like to come to a sketching session on a Bus?
As part of Barbican Theatre's Meet Me At The Sundial project we are using bus journeys and what you see out of bus windows as a viewfinder into the city. We'll build a map of moments seen from these travelling windows, a map made of many peoples' views.
If you like to join us to ride the Plymouth Citybus service 25 along the waterfront we'll meet at Barbican Theatre on Friday 27 January and then hop on the bus from Commercial Wharf (by the Mayflower Steps)
We will be travelling on the bus together and trying out a range of fun, fast sketching techniques.
Start time: 12:15pm at Barbican theatre (heading out onto the 12:38pm service 25 bus)
Finish time:13:15pm at Mayflower steps
This workshop is free (all materials provided), you just have to pay the bus fare.

About Your Workshop Leader
Chloe Georgakis
I grew up close to Plymouth and I now live here, and work from my studio in the city centre. I’m a DesignerMaker and Educator and my work celebrates the natural and urban environments we live within.
Chloe's response to the Meet Me At The Sundial project brief
I will be using drawings and photos from out of the windows, as a way of gathering fragments of Plymouth. I’ll also be inviting other passengers to do the same by sharing their own photos or taking part in sketching sessions on the bus. These will come together in an installation that visually maps the city's bus routes as a series of passing memories and mindful moments spent on the bus.
Tickets
This workshop is free (all materials provided), you just have to pay the bus fare.
