Join us for an alternative Valentine's Day event, as writer Laura Horton reads out deliberately badly written erotica. Imagine if Letters Live and My Dad Wrote a Porno had a baby.
As part of this Bad Sex Writing event we'll be accepting submissions on the theme of Valentine's Day and reading out the best of the worst on the night.
Email badsexwriting@gmail.com with you pieces, or if you'd like to register your interest, you'll be sent two prompts to weave into your passages, the deadline is 10th February. We'll be accepting, short stories, poems or plays with an upper limit of 600 words. Or just come along and enjoy the evening!
“Even though these events are spaces for humour, I’ve had a lot of people open up after workshops, making me realise how messy everyone’s romantic lives are. Ultimately, this sort of camaraderie makes sex less intimidating – and makes us all feel less alone.” LAURA HORTON, VOGUE

Barbican Theatre recommends e-tickets which can be presented at the theatre on the date of your performance using a smart mobile device (or if you prefer can be printed out) E-tickets are more covid safe and are also much greener due to not being needed to be printed or posted.
