Build A Band sessions are 90 - 120 mins long, and will be advanced in pace, content or challenges across the 5 weeks. If you’re not sure, give it a go! Rose and our music practitioners will work with the whole class to make sure there are different choices for challenges so your personal goals are reached. Musicians with all instruments welcome - let's mix it up and see what new sounds we can create.
These sessions are available to anyone over 18 who is excited by an intensive 5 week training course. We encourage you to commit to the full 5 weeks to experience these sessions to the fullest.

Sessions cost £30 for the full block of 6.

About Your Workshop Leader: Kadus Smith
Originally from Cornwall, Rose started recording her own music in 2002. In 2015 she released her first solo EP with an accompanying homecoming tour of Cornwall. 2018 saw the release of the new sounding, highly acclaimed self titled album, this time with a UK tour including a packed out album launch show at the popular venue: The Boileroom in Guildford.
Rose has had great success through BBC introducing with countless air play, interviews and live studio performances as well as BBC festival stages. She was also selected as ‘Artist of the Week’ for the Georgey Spanswick show, reaching over a million listeners. She signed a song-assignment publishing agreement with Integrity Publishing in 2017 and more recently began working as a ‘topliner’ for other writers and producers.
Additionally Rose is a successful session singer with international touring experience, working alongside some big industry names. With a reputation for her bluesy tone and style, Rose has also sang for the critically acclaimed Nat Martin Band; being featured on their EP ‘Time is a Healer’ along with several live shows. Plus she was complemented in a Blues Matters Magazine review as having ‘strong and soaring’ vocals.
At 21 Rose started out her career working at the Academy of Contemporary Music in 2007 and has since worked for such establishments as Central School of Ballet and The Music Works, which has given Rose a great deal of arts education experience. Rose undertook a specialist singing teacher training course in 2012 and has been teaching singing alongside her performing work ever since. Additionally Rose has done a variety of other teaching jobs and projects including dance, live band workshops, songwriting and other music masterclasses in both private and school settings. She also recently co-founded a new music education hub called The Music Box. Rose holds a CTLLS teaching qualification.
