Pay What You Decide

After unfortunately not being able to hold our annual show last year due to Covid-19, we are so excited to announce that we will be hosting our ‘Covid Comeback’ edition of the ANNUAL 'GROOVEMENT PROJECT DANCE COMPANY' SHOWCASE in September 2021!

We have THREE SHOWS this year that are definitely NOT TO BE MISSED...
As one of the most successful current dance companies in the UK, we will be showcasing our amazing and versatile internationally-recognised talent; based right here in Plymouth.
After the great success of our previous seven annual shows from 2013-2019, we are bringing you another amazing show in aid of fundraising for our 2022 L.A TEAM; to help enable them to train and learn from some of the world's finest choreographers, and perform on some of the most famous stages on the planet!
Something for everyone; from Street Dance to Contemporary to Commercial to Ballet to Acting, and a lot more in between!

Performances

There are three performances all held at  Barbican Theatre
Friday 10 September: 7pm - 9:30pm
Saturday 11 September: 2pm - 4:30pm
Saturday 11 September: 7pm - 9:30pm

Tickets

Tickets are highly likely to SELL OUT as they have done in previous years, especially with Limited Capacity at Barbican Theatre at the moment, so make sure you book  your tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are available exclusively through this website and are Pay What You Decide. which means you get to decide how much you pay!
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, and you can pay what you decide when you book or you can wait to pay until after you have seen the show.
We want to encourage more people to come and see shows, more often.
We want you to feel you can take a risk, try watching something new and get a chance to see new types of shows, and encounter stories you’ve not heard before. This might be your first opportunity to step inside a theatre- we look forward to seeing you here. Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the risk of buying a ticket for a show in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
You can decide what you would like to pay now by adding a donation to your booking, or you can pay after you have seen the show. Looking around at other events going on in the city, we estimate that 1 ticket to similar events would cost £10. There is no ‘right’ answer, we are not attempting to lead you to a specific figure. You can pay £0 for your ticket.
We’ll have contactless card machines and ways for you to pay by cash on the night.
If you have any questions about Pay What You Decide that will help please drop as an email
To book our wheelchair accessible seats please email info@barbicantheatre.co.uk

About Groovement Project Dance Company

As well as being a highly decorated and award-winning dance company with a mass of titles to our name from competing all over the UK; we also perform nationally, as well as internationally, with a few performance highlights including:
- Performing at ‘Universal Studios Hollywood’ - Los Angeles (2017 & 2015)
- Performing at ‘Disneyland California’ - Anaheim (2017)
- Supporting the world-famous ‘Flawless’ (BGT) at the ‘Octagon Theatre’ in Yeovil on the opening date of their new UK Tour (2018)
- Invited to compete at the world-famous ‘World Of Dance’ UK in London (2017)
- Performing and providing stadium entertainment at ‘Plymouth Argyle FC’ matches at Home Park (2019 & 2021)
We are very proud to have so much high-level and successful versatile talent under our roof as part of our GP Family; with this versatility especially being on full display with this year's showcase.
Our dancers and teachers have been working tirelessly in the build up to these shows, as well as constantly since the beginning of the pandemic, and we can’t wait to finally be able to showcase once again. Here's your chance to witness the talent for yourself and help fund another amazing opportunity for our 2022 L.A TEAM.
This 2022 trip was originally scheduled for October 2020, then rescheduled to October 2021, but the worldwide pandemic has unfortunately prevented this trip from going ahead twice already; so we are now working especially hard to finally get our dancers out to Los Angeles next year.
The show will feature individual and group performances, as well as performances from all of our title-winning crews and companies of all ages and abilities.
Come and support your local talent being recognised nationally and internationally; and help to get our dancers to a training and performing trip of a lifetime in LOS ANGELES.
