Suddenly, I have breasts
Gone are fluffy pens
Girls now look terrifying
In New Look thongs
Bluetoothing songs on pink phones
Ice Skating with my sister, we could go pro.

Harvey gets a boner in PE
Will gets leg hair
I get my period on an ice rink.

I’m confused about my body, what it’s doing, what it wants, who it wants.

Spoiler alert: my sister and I quit skating (we won’t wear the dresses or skate with the boys).

2019
My sister won’t get onstage, but we’re revisiting skating, body image, gender and sexuality to Figure how far we’ve come.

A new work-in-progress show explores two sisters over ten years, why they quit Figure Skating, and how they feel now.

It challenges judging on presentation and offers a queer pushback against rigid rules and traditions.

With rollerskating, spoken word, puppetry and fugly costumes Go Figure talks blood, bisexuality, and beauty standards.
