You’re invited to our Spring evening of theatre offering a first glimps at the work our incredible young people and practitioners have been working on since October 2019.
Each piece has been co-created by participants and reflects themes they have wanted to explore.
Theatre Junction (Monday group ages 12 – 16)
The Monday group are performing an extract of their new piece Post – ( ). Post – ( ) explores family life after a significant event which has impacted the way we exist. No one mentions this event, but the significant impact it holds upon our day to day lives and how we interact has just massive divisions within families themselves.
Theatre Junction (Tuesday group ages 12 – 16)
The Tuesday group are performing an extract from their new production Divided Land. Divided Land looks at how power and the misuse of this directly affects our lives. In a dystopian future, one person holds power and every whim is attended to. This dictatorship starts to crumble, and how do people find their voices when they have been denied for so long.
COMPANY b Theatre (ages 16 – 25)
COMPANY b Theatre will be performing an extract from their piece Sea Bed Myths. For 2020, the year of the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower landing on Plymouth Rock, COMPANY b Theatre have been looking at human relations with the sea; exploring how we view sea and sea travel. The company will be revitalising old myths and poems to explore what the sea means, past, present and future.
