Are you currently engaged with or have you been involved with Barbican Theatre Plymouth? We invite you to a unique workshop where you can share your personal stories and experiences, helping us build a rich archive of the theatre’s history. This is a fantastic opportunity to reflect on what the theatre means to you and contribute to preserving its legacy.
Event Highlights:
- Share Your Story: Contribute to our archive by recounting your personal experiences and memories with the Barbican Theatre.
- Participate in a Celebratory Performance: Get involved in a special performance that honours the theatre’s impact and celebrates its vibrant community.
- Embrace the Theatre’s Legacy: Reflect on and celebrate the significant role that the Barbican Theatre has played in your life and the lives of others.
About the Archive Project: This archive will serve as a celebration of the Barbican Theatre's past work and the role of youth in Plymouth, capturing their identity and sense of belonging. The project will not only preserve these stories but also create a new performance or audio walk that intertwines historical and contemporary perspectives, connecting the past with the present.
Don’t miss this chance to be a part of something memorable and meaningful. We look forward to celebrating with you!
This event is a collaboration between the Barbican Theatre Plymouth, the Queer District Collective and the University of Plymouth. The workshop is part of a collaborative research project run by Dulcie Fenton (BT), Polly Raynor-Woodrow (QDC) and Sarah Blissett (UoP) made possible with funding from the Get Involved Awards.
