INDRA International Theatre Connections

For ages 14 - 18

Plymouth Indra belongs to a network of other Indra groups that exist in the UK, South Africa, Palestine, Canada, India and Brazil.  We use theatre as an tool to explore issues that are important and relevant to young people and support them in finding their voice.

Last year some of our members were fortunate to go to South Africa and from their experience we will be creating a piece of work this year that responds to this and what we see our responsibility is as young people in a world with many complexities. If you feel passionate about global themes but also how you feel about young people’s voices in Plymouth then this group is for you.

What we would really like you to do is tell us why you would like to be a part of INDRA Plymouth. This can be via email as a voice recording, short film or a written paragraph – whatever works best for you! The sorts of things we’d like to know about you in your application are:

  • Do you have an interest in political and/or social issues in the UK and globally?
  • Do you want to find out about how people live and work in other parts of the world?
  • Any interest you have in actively contributing to cultural integration in Plymouth and the rest of the world!
  • A bit about you and your interests, passions in life etc.

If you are interested in joining INDRA Plymouth email your application document or recording to Alix Harris on
