Daisy is a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher currently based in the South West, creating work as part of her company The Prism Project.
Daisy has a keen interest in immersive performance work, integrating exhilarating contemporary dance with music, film, lighting and projection. As a practitioner, she strives to create a positive environment and build self-confidence, encouraging students to make mistakes, take risks, and push themselves. In the words of Samuel Beckett, ‘Try again. Fail again. Fail Better.’
Daisy trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and graduated with BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre. During study she performed in work by Lea Anderson, Tony Thatcher, Gary Lambert & Rosemary Butcher in the UK and Israel. She completed a Masters degree in Dance Performance in 2015, with Transitions Dance Company, dancing in work choreographed by Bawren Tavaziva, Zoi Dimitriou and Miguel Pereira in an international tour.
Recent performance work includes; Joss Arnott Dance, Fuse Diverse Dance & Alleyne Dance, Chhaya Collective, Spindrift Dance Collective, Nadjeschda Schaefer Dance & Andrew Race Dance Company.
Daisy works as a practitioner for; Exim Dance Company, Exeter Academy of Dance, The Cygnet Theatre, Barbican Theatre Plymouth, Creative Beings CIC, and Exeter Professional Class & Open Contemporary Class supported by Dance in Devon.
